Magpie Lane

from £11.00

One of my favourite locations in Oxford Magpie lane conects High st to Merton St and for me its a flashback to what Oxford used to be like. It’s a historic narrow street running from the High st to Merton St. In the 13th century it was called Gropecunt Lane following the tradition in medivaL times of calling a street to reflect its function and this was where prostitutes did their trade.

The photograph can be hung on a wall or placed on a shelf, and the soft colors and peaceful scene will add a touch of serenity to any space making It a lovely gift for Mum and Dad, a lovely memento of a visit to Oxford or a lovely graduation gift.

Each print is hand printed by myself which allows me time to print them with the care and attention they deserve, they are printed on Fotospeed Fine Art Smooth Pearl paper. You have a choice of a print only or a print mounted in Acid free off white bevelled mounts with backing boards. This option means the image is ready to simply to place in the frame of your choice.

On the print only I normally suppy the print with a white border so whan you frame it any loss on the edges of the picture is kept down to a minium. But if you prefer a borderless print just mention it in the order, also I only list the more popular sizes but If you would like a different size please get in touch and I will be delighted to help.

With the mounted print the size is the actual mount. The 16 x 12" size is an A4 print in a 16 x 12" mount and the 10 x8" size is an A5 print in a 10 x 8" mount.
